Mother’s Day 2012 – when and where around the globe

Whilst in the UK and Ireland, Mothering Sunday celebrations take place on the fourth Sunday of Lent, it’s worth remembering that in other parts of the world the date is fixed. For example, in America, New Zealand and Australia it always falls on the second Sunday of May (it’s also a national holiday in USA.)

Therefore, if you’re thinking of sending flowers to a mum in another part of the world, it’s worth checking the date before ordering. Here’s a list of Mothering Sunday dates in 2012 for some of the countries Direct2florist delivers flowers to.
